IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ALL DJS AND CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINERS SHOULD HOLD ALL THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

Public Liability Insurance: The reason this is important is it covers the named Company with insurance. If their equipment should fall and injure someone, damage the venue you know they are covered.  If they are not covered, the venue might chase you for the costs. 

PAT Testing: All DJs and Entertainers if using any electrical equipment should have an up-to-date PAT test certificate.  This shows that their equipment has passed a basic electrical test, and at the time of testing is safe to use.

Risk Assessment:  A risk assessment is becoming more and more requested from businesses, schools, and council-run venues.  This highlights all risks and what measures are in place to reduce any risks.

DBS: A criminal record check.  Do you want a known criminal being around your guests, your gifts and even more worrying your children?  All DJs should have at least a basic DBS certificate.  This shows if they have any convictions.
