Starlight Party Blog 2017
I would first like to welcome you to our brand new starlight party website. It has taken many months to develop and I hope you can find what you’re looking for easier and faster than ever.
So this is issue one of our starlight party blog. (Technically not the first, but as we have a new website we will try and update the blog at least once a month)
First off Happy New Year!!! Myself and Sarah saw in the New Year at The Gold Medal Pub in Gateshead, we DJ’d a fun night, with plenty of dancing, drinking and cheesy tunes. As it was only a small venue, with low ceiling we took along a smaller setup, which was ample for the venue.
2017 and the year started off pretty good for us here at Starlight Party. January we pretty busy mainly with kids parties. We are fast becoming one of the busiest children’s birthday party, disco and entertainment supplier in the north east. Our party packages are full of fun, games and magic.
February was not started off quite as well as I hoped. Being a one-man outfit, you have to be prepared for things like illness. For the first time ever I was personally unable to fulfil some bookings. I was rushed into hospital with pneumonia and could not go out and entertain. Now I know some DJ’s out there would have just cancelled the bookings and left them to it. This is not the way I work. I managed to find fantastic replacements and all the gigs were covered with some amazing feedback. I am part of a local DJ Network (The North East DJ Network), the network only allows members that have full insurance, pat testing and come recommended by other DJ’s. This has given me the opportunity to network with some fantastic DJ’s and Entertainers.
We have a pretty busy month ahead. This month we will see lots of kids parties, 13th birthday parties, adult parties and a couple of fight shows too. Each booking has a different setup, a different style of DJ’ing and this where experience comes in handy. I am lucky that I have been in the entertainment industry for many many years. You cannot buy experience and this should always be a factor when booking your entertainment, DJ or even a PA system.
